No Animals Hurt!!!

I have recently been photographing the Four Shires Hunt and their wonderful pack of working Bloodhounds. You may have noticed several on the website. This hunt chases the 'clean boot' - ie a person.

The bloodhounds follow the scent of a marathon or fell runner, who is given a short headstart over the wild Derbyshire countryside.

This article was recently published in 'The Hound' magazine about my work.

August 2014 - My painting 'Cool Dude' is featured on the catalogue cover for the 'Society of Feline Artists' exhibition to be held at the Llewellyn Alexander Gallery in London. It is the Tiger in the middle. I have had 4 paintings preselected for this exhibition, which is the country's foremost exhibition of big cats and moggies. Worth a visit if you are in London.

I am pleased to announce a joint exhibition to be staged shortly.

"Finney and Fox - Fetlock, Feather and Fur" -

Will open at the Castle Park Arts Centre on 24th September 2014 and run through to 5th November 2014.

Most animal art lovers will already know fellow Cheshire artist David A. Finney. He is well-known locally and nationally for his bird paintings, but also for his often amusing depictions of native and other wildlife. So there will be Fetlocks - my horses!, Feather - David's birds,  and Fur - from both of us.

If you would like to come to the Opening Evening, please drop me an email. David will also have cards and prints for sale.
